Offered for sale is a 1980-83 rookie era Rickey Henderson game used bat.  This hickory finished S2 Louisville Sluggers shows nice game use.  The barrel displays numerous light seam marks along the hitting surface.  The The handle has a coat of pine tar extending about 12" up from the knob.  The handle was broken and professionally repaired.  On the knob appears Rickey's correct uniform number 35 written on the knob in black marker.  This model S2 bat measures 34" and weights 31.3 oz.  This matches H&B shipping records for orders shipped to Rickey during the 1980 season.  No other orders matching these specifications show up in Henderson's ordering records during the 1980-83 labeling period.  Rookie Henderson bats are extremely difficult to find................................................................$1195
